Membership brings employers together to identify and address skills challenges facing the sector. It also ensures governments across the four nations understand the unique workforce challenges of the energy and utilities sector.

Membership is open to organisations of all shapes and sizes operating within the energy and utilities sector. In particular, membership will benefit large asset owning organisations, large sector operators and tier one and two supply chain organisations.

1.1 | STRATEGY AND INDUSTRY NETWORK GROUPS:  Access to strategy and industry network groups that promote best practice and build collaboration to address sector skills needs.

1.2 | ENERGY & UTILITIES SKILLS PARTNERSHIP: Access, by invitation, to the employer led Energy & Utilities Skills Partnership.

1.3 | ADVISORY GROUPS:  Access to advisory groups set up in response to government reforms, e.g. the Apprenticeship & Technical Education Advisory Group, to maximise opportunities.

2.4 | SECTOR ATTRACTION AND PROFILE: Work in collaboration with key high-profile Skills Partners to deliver activities that showcase and position the energy and utilities sector as a career and partner of choice.

2.5 | APPRENTICESHIP STRATEGY: Provide a strategic sector voice for apprenticeships through consultation with strategic stakeholders.

3.1 | DEVOLVED NATIONS: Maintenance of National Occupational Standards (NOS), Qualifications and Frameworks to ensure they meet the future needs of employers.

3.2 | INDUSTRY SPECIFIC COMPETENCE MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS:  A rigorous approach in defining, developing, measuring and monitoring competence in the workplace e.g. GCS, CMS and Competent Operator.

3.3 | COLLABORATIVE CLUB PROJECTS: Development and launch of collaborative initiatives through club projects, that target key sector issues such as sector attraction, transferability of skills, and diversity and inclusion.

3.4 | EUSR – THE SECTOR REGISTER OF SKILLS AND TRAINING: reducing employment costs through removal of duplication of training, development of a more flexible workforce and supporting industry recruitment and re-skilling.

3.5 | APPRENTICE ASSESSMENT: High quality end point assessment services designed with the support of sector specialists for all specialisms whether niche or volume.
