Apprenticeship Week 2011

18 January 2011

National Apprenticeship Week 2011 will take place from Monday 7 to Friday 11 February 2011.

Apprenticeship Week is the week when all eyes are on Apprenticeships and it's all about raising the profile of Apprenticeships amongst employers, learners, parents, stakeholders and the media.

The National Apprenticeship Service will be running events across the country , including employer networking opportunities and the culmination of the '100 apprenticeships in 100 days' initiative, which has seen regions across England attempt to get 100 young people into new apprentice positions in as many days.

Energy & Utility Skills (EU Skills) is supporting Apprenticeship Week by running an event in the South West region, together with the National Apprenticeship Service and hosted by Viridor to launch the new Apprenticeship in Sustainable Resource Management.

Case studies and stories of Apprentices and Apprentice employers in the energy and utilities industries are welcomed by EU Skills and will be promoted throughout the week.

If you have any case studies that you would like to publicise please email communications@euskills.co.uk
