The National Skills Academy for Power’s “People in Power Awards 2016” have been designed to recognise exceptional performance and dedication for the achievements of individuals and teams from organisations of all shapes and sizes operating within the Power sector.

Chair of the National Skills Academy for Power, Dave Newborough, says “Congratulations to all of our People in Power Awards 2016 winners. We are so proud of the exceptional breadth of talent that exists in our sector. We believe it is important that we recognise our outstanding individuals and teams by showcasing their great work.

“It is the aim of the National Skills Academy for Power to ensure we have a strong pipeline of talent entering the sector, as well as developing it for the future. Our members are focused on facilitating a cohesive approach to skills and competence deployment.  We are at a pivotal time facing exciting challenges and opportunities as our market place transforms, which makes the Power Sector a really attractive place to work.”

The National Skills Academy for Power is raising the profile of the UK industry as it becomes the global leader in power skills development, maximising the benefits for businesses.  We deliver the skills required to address the Government’s energy challenge and support a low-carbon, resource-efficient economy.

We would like to thank our People in Power Awards 2016 judges for committing their time to assess the 52 nominations from individuals, teams and organisations of all shapes and sizes operating within the Power industry.

The National Skills Academy for Power is a membership organisation that delivers initiatives, products and services identified as essential by our member employers to the long-term sustainability and attractiveness of the sector.
