Apprenticeships in Wales

Apprenticeships are open to anyone aged over 16 living in Wales, whether you are just leaving school, have been working for years or are looking to start a new career.

Apprenticeships in Wales take between one and four years to complete depending on the level of Apprenticeship, the Apprentices' ability and the industry.

Apprenticeship funding is available from the Department for Children, Education, Lifelong Learning and Skills (DCELLS). As the employer, you are responsible for providing your apprentices with an induction into their role, giving them on-the-job training and paying their wages.
