This module has been developed by Energy & Utility Skills and Veolia Environmental Services, and is available for use by the whole industry. It is based on the legal obligations of your employment as a commercial waste collection driver or loader, and the different vehicles you may operate.

You will be taken on a journey through a typical working day, which will include many potential hazards you face. Please give the exercise your full attention as it may, one day, save you from serious injury or worse.

If you have any queries about this module please contact Energy & Utility Skills on 0845 077 99 22.

"Having been a part of the success story of the first two modules, I am delighted to have played a part in this latest interactive training aid to safe working in our industry.

It should be our prime objective to safeguard the safety and wellbeing of our operational colleagues and I am therefore very proud that Veolia has, with Energy & Utility Skills, jointly funded this project which will significantly contribute to this aim."

"The 'Streetsafe Sam' suite makes the sometimes dry subject of health and safety induction more interesting and ultimately more engaging for any potential inductee by using interactive content.

This helps increase knowledge retention and through a simple scoring system and printable report allows us to validate their understanding - certainly a 'win-win' scenario for everyone."
