The Waste Industry Skills Initiative (WISKI) Group address the strategic skills issues across the waste management industry, with particular emphasis on the skills activities for medium and long term collaborative action. WISKI will support the industry wide delivery of a long term, sustainable, skilled workforce.
The aims of WISKI are:
- To identify the strategic landscape for skills, and articulate current and future skills, training, and education needs within the waste management sector.
- To develop solutions and initiatives to address current and future skills challenges using the waste industry action plan.
- To be the principle contact between Energy & Utility Skills and the member company for each project.
- To seek additional support as and when required from member companies to complete agreed projects.
- To monitor progress against an agreed programme of work and agree changes in priority or resource to ensure successful completion.
