Apprenticeships

Apprenticeships deliver the skills needed in the workforce. They are designed around the needs of your organisation and provide a real solution to addressing skills shortages, whilst delivering tangible benefits such as increased productivity, staff retention and lower training costs.

Apprentices train 'on the job' while assisting with your organisation's day-to-day workload and bring in the new skills they acquire while training towards nationally recognised qualifications.

They can be used to improve the skills of existing staff with the skills you need by offering them clear training and career pathways. Apprenticeships are an ideal recruitment and training tool that provides the ability to 'grow your own' workforce - critical today where skilled employees are becoming increasingly difficult to recruit.

EU Skills is licensed by the Government to develop and specify the content of Apprenticeships across the sector in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. EU Skills is also the issuing authority for Apprenticeship programmes in England and Wales. EU Skills works closely with employers to ensure that Apprenticeships directly reflect current and future employer requirements whilst ensuring that these programmes align with Government policy and are therefore nationally recognised and eligible for funding.

Developing Apprenticeship programme content in partnership with relevant industry employers ensures that the training is always appropriate for your organisation and directly relevant for your industry. We continually monitor Apprenticeships to help ensure that the industry remains at the forefront of technology.
