Apprenticeships are open to anyone aged over 16 living in Northern Ireland, whether the individual is just leaving school, have been working for years or are looking to start a new career.

Apprenticeships in Northern Ireland take between one and four years to complete depending on the level of Apprenticeship, the Apprentices' ability and the industry.

Apprenticeship funding is available from the Department for Employment and Learning (DELNI). As the employer, you are responsible for providing your apprentices with an induction into their role, giving them on-the-job training and paying their wages.
