Apprenticeships are open to anyone aged over 16 living in Wales, whether you are just leaving school, have been working for years or are looking to start a new career.
Apprenticeships in Wales take between one and four years to complete depending on the level of Apprenticeship, the Apprentices' ability and the industry.
Apprenticeship funding is available from the Department for Children, Education, Lifelong Learning and Skills (DCELLS). As the employer, you are responsible for providing your apprentices with an induction into their role, giving them on-the-job training and paying their wage.
The water industry faces some key challenges including an ageing workforce and a skills deficit in craft and techincal roles.
The purpose of this Intermediate and Advanced Level Apprenticeship is to support the industry to address these challenges by developing occupational competence in a wide range of job roles in the water industry.
