The Apprenticeship Levy went live on 6 April, which means qualifying businesses will be charged 0.5 percent of their total spend on salaries while receiving an allowance against their levy payment.
It is important that the energy and utilities sector leverage the Apprenticeship Levy and support the Workforce Renewal and Skills Strategy so that that the industries in our sector have a competent, productive and safe workforce.
Here at Energy & Utility Skills we are helping sector employers understand the Apprenticeship Levy and supporting them in taking steps to become ready to maximise the opportunities the Levy brings.
Our member organisations also receive guidance in weekly Levy forums, regular e-updates on key Levy developments, plus the support of a Policy and Strategy expert to respond to member questions and comments.
