What do you enjoy most about working at Energy & Utility Skills?
The continuous support I receive from my work colleagues and professional development opportunities. I also feel very lucky to have a role where I get to work with a variety of teams and individuals across the business.
In discussing my learning and development goals with my line manager and members of the senior leadership team, I was encouraged to complete a Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) Intermediate Certificate in Marketing this year, which has helped me improve my understanding of my role, as a Marketing Assistant, as well as broadening my knowledge and skills.
The qualification is going well as it’s relevant to my everyday work. It’s applicable and fast-paced and shows the key principles and purpose behind everything I’m doing. I see it as providing the next step to a promising future in marketing.
I’m responsible for our internal communications and a member of M.a.D Matters, which involves organising social and fundraising events in the office. These types of activities are valued and encouraged by the company, as they are recognised as creating a friendly atmosphere amongst colleagues.
Knowing my role contributes to making a positive difference to the team is rewarding.
