Nominations are now being accepted for the Energy & Utility Skills Conference and Awards 2024.

The Energy & Utility Skills Conference and Awards 2024 is taking place on Tuesday 10 September. The day concludes with an evening dinner and awards ceremony to celebrate the outstanding individuals and organisations that are shaping the future of the industry. Be prepared for a night of glamour and recognition as we honour those who have made significant contributions.

We are now accepting nominations for the awards until Friday 24 May 2024. All nominations will then be judged by our industry partners and the shortlisted Finalists will be notified ahead of the awards ceremony, allowing plenty of time to make arrangements for tickets, travel, and accommodation.

Award categories available for nomination:

Water Industry Apprentice of the Year Award – Recognising an apprentice in the Water sector whose achievements and passion have inspired others.

Waste Industry Apprentice of the Year Award – Acknowledging an apprentice in the Waste sector whose achievements and passion have inspired others.

Power Industry Apprentice of the Year Award – In recognition of an apprentice in the Power sector whose achievements and passion have inspired others.

Gas Industry Apprentice of the Year Award – Honouring an apprentice in the Gas sector whose achievements and passion have inspired others.

Attraction, Recruitment Campaign or Initiative of the Year Award – Recognising projects, campaigns, or initiatives that have significantly impacted sector awareness or increased applicants.

Diversity and Inclusion Initiative of the Year Award – Acknowledging projects, campaigns, or initiatives that drive Diversity and Inclusion throughout an organisation or the wider sector.

Training Provision of the Year Award – Recognising the delivery of training that positively impacts the learning experience, professional development, or personal performance.

Skills Collaboration Initiative of the Year Award – In recognition of a project, campaign, or initiative by two or more organisations that significantly benefit learning and development.

Innovative Initiative of the Year Award – Celebrating innovative initiatives that demonstrate ingenuity and a novel approach to problem-solving.

Employer of the Year Award – In recognition of organisations dedicated to their workforce, fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture, and creating a supportive work environment.

Additional awards:

There are two additional awards available which we won’t be accepting nominations for. The shortlist for these awards will be decided by the judging panel when they are reviewing all nominations.

Outstanding Contribution – This award will be presented by Energy & Utility Skills to an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the Utilities Sector.

Helen Hawkins – Apprentice of the Year – In Memory of Helen Hawkins, this prestigious award is presented to one of the winners of the industry specific ‘apprentice of the year award’ who has shown outstanding commitment to their apprenticeship and employer.
