The sixth session of the Education Select Committee’s inquiry that is examining whether employers, learners and tax payers are getting value for the time and money invested in training, took place recently.

In this session, members of the Committee were asked what is being done to remove barriers to apprenticeships to promote social justice as well as questions about the apprenticeship levy, sub-contracting and ensuring quality of apprenticeships. It also explored whether more attention should be given to identifying substandard provision.
