Safe Control of Operations (SCO) Scheme – Approval Update for Trainers

Interim arrangements to enable you to continue delivering this scheme

Safe Control of Operations (SCO) Scheme – Approval Update for Trainers

Approval for all trainers currently delivering SCO is due to expire at the end of this month. The Gas Distribution Network is still considering its response to IGEM/GL6 so we are putting in place some interim arrangements to enable you to carry on delivering this scheme until we get further guidance.

If you currently deliver SCO programmes you will be asked to confirm whether you wish to continue as an approved trainer. If you want to retain your Trainer registration you will be asked to complete a brief online training and assessment session in late October/ early November. This will be mandatory if you wish to remain on the register as an approved Trainer.

When you have passed the assessment, your approval will be extended for 12 months until 31 October 2019 and you will be issued with a new EUSR ID card.

We will be contacting you in the next few weeks with further details as to how and when to access the online training and assessment.

If you have any queries in the meantime, please contact Angela Kent or Laura Bate on quality@euskills.co.uk or telephone: 0845 077 99 22.
