Shape Waste Management National Occupational Standards

Help Shape Waste Management National Occupational Standards

Energy & Utility Skills invites employers, training providers and professional bodies to be involved in a consultation on revised National Occupational Standards (NOS).

Waste Management Recycling Point

National Occupational Standards (NOS) simply describe what an employee needs to do and needs to know to perform a work activity.  They are subject to formal consultation and approval processes and are approved by UK government regulators.

With support from across the industry, Energy & Utility Skills has reviewed and revised the NOS for anyone managing or supervising waste management activities.

An online consultation is now open to gather the views of as many industry stakeholders as possible about the revised NOS to ensure they reflect industry best practice.
