Gas Engineering Qualification Consultation

A new Scottish Competence Based Qualification (CBQ) for Gas Engineering is currently in development to help meet the current and future needs of the industry.

Gas Engineering Qualification Consultation

Energy & Utility Skills are working with the Gas industry in Scotland to develop a new Scottish Competence Based Qualification (CBQ) for Gas Engineering, to align with the NOS updated in 2017 and to ensure the industry has the right qualifications to meet their skills needs.

The CBQ will provide revised qualification pathways in Gas Installation and Maintenance and a brand new qualification pathway in Emergency Operations. Click here to view the proposed Qualification Structure

This qualification will supersede the G95A 23 SVQ 3 in Domestic Natural Gas Installation and Maintenance which was based on an older set of national occupational standards.
