Energy & Utility Skills invites employers, training providers and professional bodies to be involved in a review of sector National Occupational Standards (NOS), Scottish Vocational Qualifications (SVQ) and Modern Apprenticeships (MA).
The following projects are now underway:
- Industrial and Commercial Gas Utilisation NOS Review
- LPG Installation & Maintenance NOS Review
- Confined Spaces NOS Review
- Waste Operations SVQ at SCQF Level 5
- Waste Supervisory Management SVQ at SCQF Level 6
- Water Industry Modern Apprenticeship at SCQF Level 5 and 6
National Occupational Standards (NOS) simply describe what an employee needs to do and needs to know to perform a work activity. They are subject to formal consultation and approval processes and are approved by UK government regulators.
We are keen to hear about the latest innovations and working practices in the industry, to ensure the revised NOS and SVQs continue to reflect industry best practice. As such, we are pleased to advise we are running a series of workshops over the coming weeks.
