Help Shape Downstream Domestic Gas Installation and Maintenance National Occupational Standards

Energy & Utility Skills invites employers, training providers and professional bodies to be involved in a consultation on revised National Occupational Standards (NOS).

National Occupational Standards (NOS) simply describe what an employee needs to do and needs to know to perform a work activity. They are subject to formal consultation and approval processes and are approved by UK government regulators.

With support from across the industry, Energy & Utility Skills has reviewed and revised the suite of NOS for Downstream Domestic Gas Installation and Maintenance and Emergency First Response. They have been updated to ensure they reflect current working practice, and technological changes within the industry, including the moves to alternative fuel sources.

An online consultation on the draft NOS is now open, to gather the views of as many industry stakeholders as possible to ensure they reflect industry best practice.

The online consultation to review and provide feedback on the revised draft NOS will be open until 5pm Friday 08 October 2021, click here to review and submit your feedback
