Earlier this year Energy & Utility Skills announced a collaboration with CITB to introduce a utilities sector specific Employer Network Pilot. The 12-month initiative will deliver a new way of funding the right training courses for CITB registered employers.
This joint effort stemmed from our CITB registered member organisations’ desire to enhance the use of the industrial training levy in addressing their organisational and industry-specific skill requirements.
Following some positive Employer Network Meetings in July and September, Energy & Utility Skills can now offer a list of courses eligible for CITB funding. These are:

- SHEA (Waste and Resource Management)
- SHEA (Core)
- Manual Handling (Half-Day)
- Emergency First Aid
- First Aid at Work
- Supervisory Skills Scheme
- Electro Fusion Training
- Medium Risk Confined Spaces Training
- High Risk Confined Space Training
- Utility Excavations Training
- Neuro Diversity
- Mental Health First Aid
- NVQ Level 4 in Construction Management
- NVQ Level 7 in Construction Management
