Our Portfolio of Induction Focused Awareness Schemes

Our Portfolio of Induction Focused Awareness Schemes

Our new schemes are designed to enhance workforce knowledge on critical safety topics, further promoting a culture of safety and compliance, as part of our commitment to offering a portfolio of induction-focused awareness schemes.

All these schemes have been carefully developed and reviewed in collaboration with employers and stakeholders in the energy and utilities sector, ensuring they meet industry-specific safety requirements and best practices.

About the New Schemes:

  • Asbestos Awareness: Around 5,000 people die every year from asbestos-related diseases. This scheme provides essential training for all employees who are, or may be, exposed to asbestos during their work. This scheme is recognised by CITB for short course duration funding purposes and can be offered by ATOs.
  • COSHH Awareness: The cost of diseases caused by exposure to hazardous substances runs into millions of pounds every year. This scheme covers the risks associated with hazardous substances that employees are likely to encounter in the workplace, and provides guidance on appropriate control measures.
  • Fire Safety Awareness: Designed to promote an awareness of fire safety in the workplace, including how to recognise and mitigate potential fire hazards, and how to respond in the event of an emergency.
  • Manual Handling Awareness: With 17% of non-fatal injuries to workers occurring during manual handling activities, our scheme is designed to promote awareness of the dangers associated with manual handling and the practical steps that can be taken to minimise and control the risks associated with lifting, lowering, carrying, pushing, and pulling loads.

Upon successfully completing training for any of the above schemes, individuals will receive an EUSR registration and virtual card. If individuals require a plastic smart card in addition to the virtual card this can be provided for an additional fee. Registrations are valid for 3 years and is renewed by retaking the training and assessment.

To deliver these schemes, you must be an EUSR approved training provider and get your training programme approved by us.
