Energy & Utility Skills and Solar Energy UK announce a strategic partnership, recognising the importance of developing and retaining a skilled, competent and diverse workforce within the solar and energy storage industry. This is crucial to achieving the governments’ aim of tripling UK solar capacity by 2030, tackling climate change, improving energy security and reducing energy bills.
Together, the organisations will identify the skills and workforce issues facing the solar and energy storage industry and its supply chains and take strategic action to address them.
Sharing knowledge, information, and where appropriate, relevant outputs from strategic governance forums, gained in collaboration with members and sector stakeholders, will contribute to influencing UK national, local and devolved governments, and other sector stakeholders, to ensure that the needs and priorities of the solar and energy storage industry are reflected in policy making.
