National Water Hygiene Update - Energy & Utility Skills

National Water Hygiene Update

The National Water Hygiene (NWH) Scheme is our basic awareness training programme for individuals who work on (or have contact with) clean water sites and the clean water network within the UK water industry. It was developed with the water industry to create a common standard for water hygiene training and assessment.

National Water Hygiene Update

Over the Next six months the NWH Scheme will be reviewed and redeveloped, as part of its three-year review cycle. The redevelopment will involve Energy & Utility Skills working with water companies and independent trainers, to ensure that it continues to meet the requirements and regulations of the water industry.  As part of this redevelopment we will also look to improve the quality of the delivery materials and create a better learner experience.

The redeveloped scheme will be launched in February 2019, with a series of trainer update briefings and where necessary, trainer registration’s will be extended in line with the launch of the scheme. To view a list of trainer briefings and book a place click here.
