Update on Changes in Quality Assurance

We have been very busy in the QA team recently and thought it would be helpful to give you a brief update on the changes within the team.

Update on Changes in Quality Assurance

Laura Bate joined us back in October to support Angela Kent – who until then had been single-handedly coordinating all the quality assurance activities. This has made a hugely positive difference to the team and has also improved our response times to our trainers and providers on general enquiries, as well as approvals.

The Trainer briefings on the new redeveloped SHEA schemes have been a major piece of work for both Angela and Laura over the last couple of months and everything has run very smoothly with over 450 Trainers attending briefings.

We’ve had very positive feedback from trainers and providers on our new Quality Framework, processes, policies and documentation, which were all launched on 1 April. Noel Blunt and Gareth Bowen, our new Quality Leads, have been getting out and about on approval and audit visits, as well as offering advice and guidance over the phone and email.

We have received encouraging feedback about their work and the contribution they are making; their willingness to go the extra mile to support our Trainers and Providers is really appreciated. Along with Bhupindra (Boops) Sard, our Quality Manager, they have also been supporting the Trainer Briefings on the redeveloped SHEA schemes.

We want to hear what you think about any aspect of our work in quality assurance – whether it’s about our processes, speed of response or helpfulness. We are on a journey of continuous improvement and we need to know if we are doing the right things, as well as doing things right!

If you have not already fed back, it would be great to hear from you. Please email quality@euskills.co.uk with any comments, suggestions or feedback.
