Energy & Utility Skills named as a finalist for Utility Week’s ‘Utility Partner of the Year’ Award

For the third year running, Energy & Utility Skills has been shortlisted in the ‘Utility Partner of the Year’ award category.

Utility Week Awards 2020

Energy & Utility Skills was named the first ‘Utility Partner of the Year’ at the Utility Week Awards in December 2018. Now in its third year, the category continues to attract a high standard of entries, according to the organisers. Utility Week publishing director Ellen Bennett said: “We have been absolutely delighted with the quality of this year’s entries. It’s been an unprecedently challenging year for utilities – and, as ever, they have risen to the challenge superbly, keeping the lights on, the taps running and the gas flowing throughout the pandemic. A huge congratulations to all our finalists.”

The winners in 13 categories will be unveiled in a virtual ceremony on 8 February 2021.

The ‘Utility Partner of the Year’ category called for entrants to demonstrate how they have invested in truly understanding the challenges of their customers in order to build long term relationships which will help protect the reliability, affordability and sustainability of the sector’s essential services for today and tomorrow.

Phil Beach, Chief Executive of Energy & Utility Skills, commented:

“Being shortlisted for ‘Utility Partner of the Year’ for the third-year running is recognition of everything we’ve done as an organisation to continue to support our members through a difficult year and into the future. We are proud of our trusted partner status and pleased this has been recognised by a judging panel of our members and peers.”
